Born on September 3, 1983 in Douglasville, Georgia, Matt Capps (Matthew Dicus Capps) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 2 year career. Capps broke into the bigs on September 16, 2005 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 3.79 ERA in 80.2 innings pitched in 2006, his rookie year.
