Daisuke Matsuzaka, the most dominant pitcher in Japanese Baseball the past 8 seasons, said he will pursue his dreams of playing in the Major Leagues.
The Seibu Lions officially agreed to the Japanese star pitcher's release and said his rights will be "posted," meaning that all 30 major league teams can bid on him.
He has selected Scott Boras as his agent.
Matsuzaka impressed many major league scouts last March during the World Baseball Classic, where he was selected MVP after Japan won the title.
