Maryland Terrapins Keeping Em' Home

The Maryland Terrapins landed their second big commit yesterday in Baltimore's Sean Mosely, a 6-5 shooting guard at St. Frances Academy. Mosley averaged better than 21 points and eight rebounds per game last season, and joins big man Terrance Jennings as blue chippers willing to be cursed and degraded by Gary Williams.
The Terps are doing well so far this recruiting season, as the knock on them in the past has been their inability to keep top tier talent at home. Kevin Durant, Rudy Gay and Carmelo Anthony are just some of the names of Maryland natives not willing to stay at home to rock the red and white, despite the success of players like Juan Dixon.
Much speculation is usually made about Gary Williams' standoffish disposition, how local players are leery of how competitive Maryland's program can be on a national spotlight in the ACC, and how they just really don't want to stay home for school. For all that the Terrapins do in recruiting, hand the credit to former player and current assistant coach Keith Booth, who really knows how to appeal to young players and sell the College Park way to athletes and their families.
