Marv Rackley (Marvin Eugene Rackley) was born on July 25, 1921 in Seneca, South Carolina. He made his Major League debut on April 15, 1947 for the Brooklyn Dodgers. In 1948, his rookie year, he hit .327 with 0 home runs and 15 RBI. Rackley played for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 3 year career.
