Marv Owens (Marvin Duane Owens) was born on June 16, 1950 in Orange, California. After going to high school at Fullerton (CA), Owens attended San Diego State University. Owens made his professional debut in the NFL in 1973 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the New York Jets and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 2 year career.
