Marv Matuszak (Marvin H. Matuszak) was born on September 12, 1931 in South Bend, Indiana. After going to high school at Michael Washington (South Bend, IN), Matuszak attended the University of Tulsa. Matuszak made his professional debut in the NFL in 1953 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played in the NFL for 7 years, playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Colts and San Francisco 49ers over the course of his 7 year NFL career.Matuszak also played in the AFL for 3 years, playing for the Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos over the course of his 3 year AFL career.
