Born on April 29, 1914 in Rolla, Missouri, Marv Breuer (Marvin Howard Breuer) played for the New York Yankees for his entire 5 year career. Breuer broke into the bigs on May 4, 1939 with the New York Yankees, and put up a 4.55 ERA in 164 innings pitched in 1940, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Marv Breuer's best season was 1942, when he posted a 3.07 ERA and struck out 72 batters.
