Marty Wetzel (William Martin Wetzel) was born on January 29, 1958 in New Orleans, Louisiana. After going to high school at East Jefferson (Metairie, LA), Wetzel attended Tulane University. Wetzel made his professional debut in the NFL in 1981 with the New York Jets. He played for the New York Jets for his entire 1 year career.
