Marty Shay (Arthur Joseph Shay) was born on April 25, 1896 in Boston, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on September 16, 1916 for the Chicago Cubs. Shay played for the Chicago Cubs and Boston Braves over the course of his 2 year career.
