Born on November 27, 1888 in William Penn, Pennsylvania, Marty O'Toole (Martin James O'Toole) played for the Cincinnati Reds, Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Giants over the course of his 5 year career. O'Toole broke into the bigs on September 21, 1908 with the Cincinnati Reds, and put up a 2.71 ERA in 275.1 innings pitched in 1912, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Marty O'Toole's best season was 1912, when he posted a 2.71 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 150 batters.
