Marty Martinez (Orlando (Oliva) Martinez) was born on August 23, 1941 in Havana, Cuba. He made his Major League debut on May 2, 1962 for the Minnesota Twins. In 1968, his rookie year, he hit .230 with 0 home runs and 12 RBI. Martinez played for the Minnesota Twins, Atlanta Braves, Houston Astros, Texas Rangers, St. Louis Cardinals and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 7 year career.
