Marty Hopkins (Meredith Hilliard Hopkins) was born on February 22, 1907 in Wolfe City, Texas. He made his Major League debut on April 17, 1934 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1934, his rookie year, he hit .204 with 2 home runs and 31 RBI. Hopkins played for the Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 2 year career.
