Marty Comer (Martin F. Comer) was born on October 28, 1917 in Indianapolis, Indiana. After going to high school at Horace Mann, Comer attended Tulane University. Comer made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1946 with the Miami Seahawks. He played for the Buffalo Bills and Miami Seahawks over the course of his 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1947 was Marty Comer's best year.
