Marty Callaghan (Martin Francis Callaghan) was born on June 9, 1900 in Norwood, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on April 13, 1922 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1922, his rookie year, he hit .257 with 0 home runs and 20 RBI. Callaghan played for the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that Marty Callaghan's best season was 1928, when he hit for a .290 average.
