Marty Berghammer (Martin Andrew Berghammer) was born on June 18, 1888 in Elliott, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on September 8, 1911 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1913, his rookie year, he hit .218 with 1 home run and 13 RBI. Berghammer played for the Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Rebels over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that Marty Berghammer's best season was 1915, when he stole 26 bases.
