Marty Beck (Martin J. Beck) was born on January 2, 1900 in New York, New York. After going to high school at Fordham Prep (Bronx, NY), Beck attended none. Beck made his professional debut in the APFA in 1921 with the Akron Pros. He played in the APFA for 1 year, playing for the Akron Pros the entire time. Beck also played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the Akron Pros and Akron Indians over the course of his 3 year NFL career.
