Marty Amsler (Charles Martin Amsler) was born on October 26, 1942 in Evansville, Indiana. After going to high school at Benjamin Bosse (Evansville, IN), Amsler attended Indiana University and the University of Evansville. Amsler made his professional debut in the NFL in 1967 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers over the course of his 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1967 was Marty Amsler's best year.
