Martin Ruby (Martin Owen Ruby) was born on June 9, 1922 in Lubbock, Texas. After going to high school at Waco (TX), Ruby attended Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University. Ruby made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1946 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played in the AAFC for 4 years, playing for the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Yankees over the course of his 4 year AAFC career.Ruby also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the New York Yanks the entire time.
Most people believe that 1949 was Martin Ruby's best year, as he ran back an interception for a touchdown.
