Marty Barrett (Martin Glenn Barrett) was born on June 23, 1958 in Arcadia, California. He made his Major League debut on September 6, 1982 for the Boston Red Sox. In 1984, his rookie year, he hit .303 with 3 home runs and 45 RBI. Barrett played for the Boston Red Sox and San Diego Padres over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that Marty Barrett's best season was 1986, when he hit for a .286 average and knocked in 60 runs.
