Born on June 2, 1931 in Jackson, Mississippi, Marshall Bridges (Marshall Bridges) played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, New York Yankees and Washington Senators over the course of his 7 year career. Bridges broke into the bigs on June 17, 1959 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 4.26 ERA in 76 innings pitched in 1959, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Marshall Bridges's best season was 1962, when he posted a 3.14 ERA, notched 18 saves and struck out 66 batters.
