Born on February 21, 1893 in Faison, North Carolina, Marsh Williams (Marshall McDiarmid Williams) played for the Philadelphia Athletics for his entire 1 year career. Williams broke into the bigs on July 7, 1916 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 7.89 ERA in 51.1 innings pitched in 1916, his rookie year.
