Marr Phillips (Marr B. Phillips) was born on June 16, 1857 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on May 1, 1884 for the Indianapolis Blues. In 1884, his rookie year, he hit .269 with 0 home runs and 0 RBI. Phillips played for the Indianapolis Blues, Pittsburgh Pirates, Detroit Wolverines and Rochester Hop Bitters over the course of his 3 year career.
