Maroth Needs Elbow Surgery

The high flying Detroit Tigers received some bad news today, when they learned that SP Mike Maroth will need elbow surgery. On Friday, Maroth will undergo arthroscopic surgery to remove bone chips in his left elbow. Maroth will likely miss two to three months. Roman Colon will fill in for him in the rotation.
