Mark Sweeney (Mark Patrick Sweeney) was born on October 26, 1969 in Framingham, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on August 4, 1995 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1996, his rookie year, he hit .265 with 3 home runs and 22 RBI. Sweeney played for the St. Louis Cardinals, San Diego Padres, Cincinnati Reds, Milwaukee Brewers, Colorado Rockies and San Francisco Giants over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Mark Sweeney's best season was 2005, when he hit for a .294 average.
