Mark Shumate (Mark Shumate) was born on March 30, 1960 in Poynette, Wisconsin. After going to high school at Poynette (WI), Shumate attended the University of Wisconsin. Shumate made his professional debut in the NFL in 1985 with the New York Jets. He played for the New York Jets for his entire 1 year career.
