Mark Salas (Mark Bruce Salas) was born on March 8, 1961 in Montebello, California. He made his Major League debut on June 19, 1984 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1985, his rookie year, he hit .300 with 9 home runs and 41 RBI. Salas played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Minnesota Twins, New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that Mark Salas's best season was 1985, when he hit for a .300 average.
