Mark Parent (Mark Alan Parent) was born on September 16, 1961 in Ashland, Oregon. He made his Major League debut on September 20, 1986 for the San Diego Padres. In 1989, his rookie year, he hit .191 with 7 home runs and 21 RBI. Parent played for the San Diego Padres, Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles, Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Pirates, Detroit Tigers and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 13 year career.
Most people believe that Mark Parent's best season was 1995, when he slugged 18 home runs.
