Mark Merrill (Mark Christopher Merrill) was born on May 5, 1945 in St. Paul, Minnesota. After going to high school at Kellogg (St. Paul, MN), Merrill attended the University of Minnesota. Merrill made his professional debut in the NFL in 1978 with the New York Jets. He played for the New York Jets, Los Angeles Raiders, Buffalo Bills, Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that 1979 was Mark Merrill's best year.
