Mark Mathis (Mark E. Mathis) was born on August 23, 1965 in Mount Clemens, Michigan. After going to high school at Marietta (GA), Mathis attended Liberty University. Mathis made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the St. Louis Cardinals for his entire 1 year career.
