Born on October 28, 1960 in Denver, Colorado, Mark Knudson (Mark Richard Knudson) played for the Houston Astros, Milwaukee Brewers and Colorado Rockies over the course of his 8 year career. Knudson broke into the bigs on July 8, 1985 with the Houston Astros, and put up a 5.22 ERA in 60.1 innings pitched in 1986, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Mark Knudson's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1990, when he posted a 4.12 ERA, won 10 games and struck out 56 batters. However, others believe that it was 1989, when he posted a 3.35 ERA.
