Mark Kirchner (Mark Steven Kirchner) was born on October 19, 1959 in Pasadena, Texas. After going to high school at Deer Park (TX), Kirchner attended Baylor University. Kirchner made his professional debut in the NFL in 1983 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of his 3 year career.
