Born on August 14, 1962 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mark Gubicza (Mark Steven Gubicza) played for the Kansas City Royals and Anaheim Angels over the course of his 14 year career. Gubicza broke into the bigs on April 6, 1984 with the Kansas City Royals, and put up a 4.05 ERA in 189 innings pitched in 1984, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Mark Gubicza's best season was 1988, when he posted a 2.70 ERA, won 20 games and struck out 183 batters.
