Born on January 3, 1965 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Mark Dewey (Mark Alan Dewey) played for the San Francisco Giants, New York Mets and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 6 year career. Dewey broke into the bigs on August 24, 1990 with the San Francisco Giants, and put up a 3.68 ERA in 51.1 innings pitched in 1994, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Mark Dewey's best season was 1996, when he posted a 4.21 ERA and struck out 57 batters.
