Mark Christman (Marquette Joseph Christman) was born on October 21, 1913 in Maplewood, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on April 20, 1938 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1938, his rookie year, he hit .248 with 1 home run and 44 RBI. Christman played for the Detroit Tigers, St. Louis Browns and Washington Senators over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Mark Christman's best season was 1944, when he knocked in 83 runs.
