Mark Belanger (Mark Henry Belanger) was born on June 8, 1944 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on August 7, 1965 for the Baltimore Orioles. In 1967, his rookie year, he hit .174 with 1 home run and 10 RBI. Belanger played for the Baltimore Orioles and Los Angeles Dodgers over the course of his 18 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Mark Belanger's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1969, when he hit for a .287 average and knocked in 50 runs. However, others believe that it was 1976, when he stole 27 bases.
