Born on July 15, 1923 in Brant, New York, Marion Fricano (Marion John Fricano) played for the Philadelphia Athletics and Kansas City Athletics over the course of his 4 year career. Fricano broke into the bigs on September 6, 1952 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 3.88 ERA in 211 innings pitched in 1953, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Marion Fricano's best season was 1953, when he posted a 3.88 ERA and struck out 67 batters.
