Mario Guerrero (Mario Miguel (Abud) Guerrero) was born on September 28, 1949 in Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional (Dominican Republic). He made his Major League debut on April 8, 1973 for the Boston Red Sox. In 1973, his rookie year, he hit .233 with 0 home runs and 11 RBI. Guerrero played for the Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Cardinals, California Angels and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 8 year career.
Most people believe that Mario Guerrero's best season was 1978, when he hit for a .275 average.
