Mario Edwards (Mario L. Edwards) was born on December 1, 1975 in Gautier, Mississippi. After going to high school at Pascagoula (MS), Edwards attended Florida State University. Edwards made his professional debut in the NFL in 2000 with the Dallas Cowboys. He played for the Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that 2001 was Mario Edwards's best year, as he ran back an interception for a touchdown.
