[edit] Trivia
Dupree was the MVP of the 1983 Fiesta Bowl for the Oklahoma Sooners. He rushed for 239 yards on only 17 carries even though he only played in half of the game. Dupree came out 3 times suffering a pulled hamstring, a rib injury, an ankle injury and a broken finger. Arizona State won the game but Dupree's efforts were enough to set rushing records in the history of the Fiesta Bowl.
A book titled The Courting of Marcus Dupree was written about the large amount of colleges who recruited Dupree during his senior year of high school. Dupree finished high school with 5284 yards rushing on 8.3 yards per carry and broke the career touchdown record of 86 set by Herschel Walker by one.
