Marcus Cotton (Marcus Glenn Cotton) was born on August 11, 1966 in Los Angeles, California. After going to high school at Castlemont (Oakland, CA), Cotton attended the University of Southern California. Cotton made his professional debut in the NFL in 1988 with the Atlanta Falcons. He played for the Atlanta Falcons, Seattle Seahawks and Cleveland Browns over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that 1989 was Marcus Cotton's best year, as he recorded 9 sacks.
