Manny Trillo (Jesus Manuel Marcano Trillo) was born on December 25, 1950 in Caripito, Monagas (Venezuela). He made his Major League debut on June 28, 1973 for the Oakland Athletics. In 1975, his rookie year, he hit .248 with 7 home runs and 70 RBI. Trillo played for the Oakland Athletics, Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Phillies, Montreal Expos, Cleveland Indians, San Francisco Giants and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 17 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Manny Trillo's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1980, when he hit for a .292 average. However, others believe that it was 1976, when he knocked in 59 runs.
