Manny Says "No" To WBC

John Henry annonced today that Manny Ramirez will not be playing in the WBC for the Dominican Republic. He will instead be with the Red Sox for spring training. He will still join the team on March 1st. Manny has not informed the Dominican national team nor his coach of this decision personally. This come on the heels of speculation that Pedro Martinez and Aramis Ramirez will also drop out.

Yeah, a waste of time that will make little money and only serve to injure players is coming apart. What a shame. Goshdarn, I hate that my team's most valuable player won't be wasting his time in meaningless games. What a shame.
