Manny Fernandez (Manuel Jose Fernandez) was born on July 3, 1946 in Oakland, California. After going to high school at San Lorenzo (CA), Fernandez attended Chabot JC and The Univesity of Utah. Fernandez made his professional debut in the AFL in 1968 with the Miami Dolphins. He played in the AFL for 2 years, playing for the Miami Dolphins the entire time. Fernandez also played in the NFL for 6 years, playing for the Miami Dolphins the entire time.

Most people believe that 1972 was Manny Fernandez's best year.
