Mal Kutner (Malcolm James Kutner) was born on March 27, 1921 in Dallas, Texas. After going to high school at Woodrow Wilson (Dallas, TX), Kutner attended the University of Texas. Kutner made his professional debut in the NFL in 1946 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals for his entire 5 year career.
Most people believe that 1948 was Mal Kutner's best year, as he hauled in 41 receptions, had 943 receiving yards and caught 14 TD passes.
