Mack Wheat (McKinley Davis Wheat) was born on June 9, 1893 in Polo, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1915 for the Brooklyn Superbas. In 1918, his rookie year, he hit .217 with 1 home run and 3 RBI. Wheat played for the Brooklyn Superbas, Brooklyn Robins and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 7 year career.
