Major League Baseball doesn't want you to know it exists.
How do I know this? YouTube is one of the most popular, most visited websites in all of Al Gore's creation and MLB wants nothing to do with it. If you post a video containing anything to do with Major League Baseball it will deleted within the hour and instead you'll receive a warning e-mail and your video's page will be stamped with a message saying, "This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by MLB Advanced Media."
A while back I did a commercial for this site that featured a few clips of some of the most-seen plays in recent baseball history and it was deleted and I received a cease and desist e-mail. The video LastRow linked to was just an interview about baseball and the Anti-YouTube Society of Baseball (that's dill weeds for short) deleted it and I'm guessing he received the same e-mail as I.
Baseball used to be America's pastime. It's losing more and more interest to football every year and yet they're paying people to keep people from see their sport. It's insane! In a world where every business is spending millions on how to earn us consumers' every dollar, baseball is paying to keep us from enjoying their sport without their express written consent.
I love the traditions of the game, but baseball has to get with the times. They need to let young generations include them in their everyday activities, even if that means letting people see footage of a game that's not part of a regularly scheduled television program. They should be adding content to YouTube, not taking it off.
