MLB All Century Team
In 1999, Major League Baseball honored 30 players from the 100 years prior, naming them to the All Century Team. Six pitchers, nine outfielders, and two players from each other position were elected to the team by fans (from a ballot of 100 players), and five more players were added by an "oversight committee."
All living members of the ballot were invited to the 1999 MLB All Star Game (including the otherwise ineligible Pete Rose).
