Lyman Bostock (Lyman Wesley Bostock) was born on November 22, 1950 in Birmingham, Alabama. He made his Major League debut on April 8, 1975 for the Minnesota Twins. In 1975, his rookie year, he hit .282 with 0 home runs and 29 RBI. Bostock played for the Minnesota Twins and California Angels over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that Lyman Bostock's best season was 1977, when he hit for a .336 average and knocked in 90 runs.
