Lum Harris

Born on January 17, 1915 in New Castle, Alabama, Lum Harris (Chalmer Luman Harris) played for the Philadelphia Athletics and Washington Senators over the course of his 6 year career. Harris broke into the bigs on April 19, 1941 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 4.78 ERA in 131.2 innings pitched in 1941, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Lum Harris's best season was 1944, when he posted a 3.30 ERA and won 10 games.
