Luke Prestridge (Luke Earl Prestridge) was born on September 17, 1956 in Houston, Texas. After going to high school at Sharpstown (Houston, TX), Prestridge attended Baylor University. Prestridge made his professional debut in the NFL in 1979 with the Denver Broncos. He played for the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that 1979 was Luke Prestridge's best year, as he dropped 17 punts inside the 20.
